What is telemedicine and how does it work?

Telemedicine, also known as telehealth, are medical visits that take place over face-to-face real time video with a board-certified physician. I use HIPAA – compliant video conferencing system for appointments and you have a private portal for direct communication with me. I can order labs and imaging studies and medications.

Are you offering in person visits?

Approximately 90% of visits can be handled safely and effectively using telehealth platforms. In person visits can be arranged if needed based on symptoms discussed during the phone appointment. In person visits will be arranged for Aesthetic and Dermatology visits.

Question 3

Can I have lab drawn or imaging studies performed?

Accepted Answer

Yes labs and imaging study such as x-rays, CT scans, MRIs can be ordered during a telehealth visit. I can order labs at Quest and LabCorp and can arrange imaging studies to be done at a Radiology Center nearest to you.

What should I do if I need to cancel a visit?

Please call or text the office at 415-287-2920 as soon as you realize you need to reschedule/cancel your appointment.  Please keep in mind that we have reserved this time just for you.

If you need to cancel or reschedule a non-aesthetic appointment, you can do this through your appointment confirmation email. If cancelling a visit less than 72 hours in advance, cancellation/no show fee of $150 will be applied. If appointment cancelled within 24 hour of appointment, full amount of service will be charged.  If appointment is rescheduled within 24 hour of original appointment time, a booking fee of $75 may/will be charged.

If cancelling an In-person or Aesthetic visit less than 72 hours in advance, cancellation/no show fee of $225 will be applied. If appointment cancelled within 24 hour of appointment, full amount of service will be charged.   If appointment is rescheduled within 24 hour of original appointment time, a booking fee of $150 may/will be charged.

Can I get prescriptions?

Yes, if indicated for your treatment. I can also refill routine medication as needed. Medication is sent to the pharmacy electronically. Please note, I will not be prescribing narcotics or benzodiazepines through this telehealth platform.

What are your fees?

• Primary Care Dermatology: $300 to $400 per visit
 • Joint Injections: $275 per joint (includes cost of medication)
 • Telemedicine: as listed
 • Weight Management: starting at $250 initial consult, $150-$200 follow-up visit
 • Nutrition Injections: IM injections - as listed
 • Aesthetics: - as listed
 
Administrative fees for paperwork, coordination of care with multidisciplinary team, home visits will be billed prorated at $325 per hour

What are your payment options?

Credit or debit cards are preferred. We also offer payment plans through Cherry.

Question 8

Do you accept insurance, Medicare, Medicaid?

Accepted Answer

At this time, we are not contracted (therefore not in-network) with any insurance companies. We are considered “out of network” for most PPO insurance companies. A super bill will be provided to you in order to seek insurance reimbursement. Please review your insurance benefit policy in regards to policy reimbursement for out of network providers. We are not participating in Medicare or Medicaid at this time.

Can I pay with my HSA?
