What Are Dermal Fillers
Restore what time has gradually taken away
Volume Loss Is the Real Driver of Facial Aging
As we age, our faces naturally lose collagen, hyaluronic acid, and fat. These structural layers keep skin lifted, plump, and youthful. This volume loss causes hollowing under the eyes, flattening of the cheeks, deepening of nasolabial folds, thinning of the lips, and sagging of the jawline. Wrinkle creams can't address this. That's where dermal fillers come in.
Dermal fillers are injectable gels that physically restore the volume and structure lost to aging. They are most commonly made from hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance your skin naturally produces. At Glow Health Medical Clinic, we use FDA-approved brands including Juvederm and Restylane to deliver natural-looking, long-lasting results that honor your anatomy and enhance what's already there.

Every treatment is customized. Whether you're looking for subtly fuller lips, a more defined jawline, lifted cheeks, or a comprehensive liquid facelift, we tailor the product, placement, and volume to your specific facial structure and aesthetic goals.
Products We Use
The right filler for every goal
Not all fillers are the same. Different formulations have different thicknesses, cross-linking technology, and ideal applications. We select the best product for your specific treatment area and desired outcome.
Juvederm
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Fillers
Lasts 6–18 months · Reversible
The most popular and versatile filler type. HA is a sugar molecule naturally found in skin that attracts and binds water, creating instant volume. HA fillers are smooth, natural-feeling, and — crucially — fully reversible with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if you ever want the results adjusted or removed. Ideal for lips, cheeks, nasolabial folds, under-eyes, jawline, and chin.
Juvederm Voluma
Deep Volume / Cheek Filler
Lasts up to 18–24 months
Thicker, more robust HA formulations designed for deep injection to restore mid-face volume and provide lift. Juvederm Voluma XC is FDA-approved for cheek augmentation and can produce a significant lifting effect that mimics what once required surgery. Often referred to as a "liquid facelift" when combined with other areas.
Juvederm Ultra / Volbella
Lip Filler
Lasts 6–12 months
Softer, more flexible HA formulations designed specifically for the delicate lip tissue. These fillers add volume, define the lip border, improve symmetry, and hydrate the lips without stiffness. Modern lip filler techniques focus on natural projection and shape — not the overfilled look of years past. Most patients use 0.5–1 syringe per session
Juvederm vollure
Nasolabial Fold & Marionette Filler
Lasts 9-12 months
Restores volume in the mid-face to lift and soften the smile lines (nasolabial folds) that run from the nose to the mouth, and the marionette lines from the corners of the mouth to the chin — reducing the appearance of sagging and a downturned expression without an unnatural "filled" look.

MOST REQUESTED
Lips
Add volume, define the cupid's bow, improve symmetry, and hydrate thinning lips. Natural enhancement that looks like you, not like filler.

LIQUID LIFT
Cheeks & Mid-Face
Restore lost cheek volume for a lifted, sculpted mid-face. The cornerstone of the liquid facelift, structural support that softens nasolabial folds as a bonus.

Smoothing
Nasolabial Folds & Marionette Lines
Soften the smile lines and downturned corners of the mouth to restore a more rested, youthful facial expression — not an "overfilled" appearance.
The Procedure
What to expect at your appointment
01
Consultation & Facial Assessment
We begin with a thorough assessment of your facial anatomy, volume loss patterns, skin quality, and aesthetic goals. Together we create a personalized treatment plan — recommending the right products, placement, and volume for natural-looking results that complement your features.
02
Topical Numbing
A topical anesthetic cream is applied to the treatment area and left on for 15–20 minutes. Most modern fillers also contain lidocaine, further minimizing any discomfort during injection. The majority of patients find the procedure very tolerable.
03
Precision Injection
Using a fine needle or blunt-tipped cannula, the filler is strategically placed in the precise anatomical layers for your treatment area. Technique and placement are everything — this is where experience and artistry matter most. We work methodically, assessing results as we go.
04
Sculpting & Assessment
After injection, the product is gently massaged and sculpted to ensure smooth, even distribution and optimal integration with the surrounding tissue. We assess symmetry, proportion, and natural movement throughout the process.
05
Aftercare Review & Follow-Up
We review your aftercare instructions, discuss what to expect in the days following treatment (including normal swelling and settling), and schedule a 2-week follow-up if any touch-up is needed to perfect the result.
Understanding Your Options
Fillers vs. Botox whats the difference?
Two of the most commonly confused treatments in aesthetics. Both are injectable, both are non-surgical, and both produce a more youthful appearance — but they work in completely different ways and target different concerns. The best results often come from combining both.
Dermal Fillers (HA Gel)
Restores volume · Adds structure · Lifts & defines
-
Physically restores volume lost to aging in specific areas of the face
-
Best for lips, cheeks, under-eyes, jawline, nasolabial folds, and temples
-
Does not relax muscles — it rebuilds the structural foundation under the skin
-
Results are immediate and last 6–18 months depending on product
-
Fully reversible with hyaluronidase — unmatched safety profile among injectables
Most patients benefit from both. We'll advise on the ideal combination for your goals.
Botox (Neuromodulator)
Relaxes muscles · Prevents movement · Smooths dynamic wrinkles
-
Temporarily relaxes the facial muscles that cause expression lines
-
Best for forehead lines, crow's feet, frown lines (11s), bunny lines, and brow lift
-
Does not add volume — it prevents movement-related wrinkles
-
Results appear in 5–14 days and last 3–4 months
-
Excellent for preventing future wrinkles and maintaining results
Results & Longevity
What you can realistically expect
Results from dermal fillers are immediate — you'll see a difference as soon as you leave the chair. Final results settle in about 2 weeks as any swelling resolves and the product fully integrates with surrounding tissue.
Immediately
Visible Results
You will see the change immediately after treatment. Final results settle in 10–14 days once any mild swelling fully resolves.

6-18
Months of Results
Lips average 6–12 months. Cheeks and jawline can last 12–18 months. Deeper placement in lower-movement areas extends longevity significantly.
~0
Days Downtime
Most patients return to work and normal activities the same day or next day. Mild swelling and occasional bruising resolve within 3–7 days.
100%
Reversible
HA fillers can be fully dissolved with hyaluronidase if you're ever unhappy with the result or need the filler removed. This is unique to HA-based products.
